Mitchell Dever Character Sheet

How have y'all been?
I know I have been neglecting this account the last couple of weeks, but no worries! Problem fixed with lots of new updates and cookies!

So, lately I've been working on a new project/comic, together with this great as cherry flavoured marmalade person, Jonathan Woolley [link] who rocks my sketchbook with his scripts and writing!
...Originally started off like a simple commission, but I loved his characters and we decided to take this collaboration one step further

Meet Mitchell Dever!
He's my favourite character so far, and not only for his hot hairstyle(naturally lol)

Earliest Memory: Sitting in his buggy, trying to get out and splash in a puddle.

Mitchell, or Mitch has he became known after making the move across the pond from Britain, is best summarised in one word: cocky. Actually, scratch that.
Make that one word cockney.
Reminiscent of the Artful Dodger in modern times, Mitch is devious, self-assured and blessed with a cheerful disregard for the rules.
It is unclear to what extent this personality is constructed or not, because, his being born within the sound of Bow Bells (just as they were chiming midnight, no-less) notwithstanding, Mitch seems altogether a little too proud of his “authentic Londoner” status. Especially given the fact that he has moved out of his beloved mother city to seek his fortune in the USA.

His (now divorced) parents – dad a bricklayer, mother a receptionist – are unremarkable types, save for one thing: they’re Pagans. Despite their current conventional occupations, in their younger years both took part in the road protests of the 90s,
which were in fact where they met.

Mitchell was therefore blessed with a highly liberal upbringing, equipping him with his current compliment of piercings, 60s-never-died hairstyle and generally occult worldview. His superstitious nature and musical interests – death metal, please – are also an artefact of his upbringing.

Nonetheless, he doesn’t go in for all the glimmering darkness of goth fashion, and tends to wear faux labels he bought from down the market. He also eats meat, unlike his mother, and supports Chelsea, unlike his father. He’s got in trouble with the police a couple of times for petty shoplifting and pickpocketing, but he hasn’t done anything like that recently. Not that anyone knows of, anyway.

At present, he doesn’t have much of a life plan.
His needs are simple, as are his pleasures – food, sleep, music, money, sex and cigarettes (not tobacco, but herb blend instead)
If you pressed him about it, he’d tell you about a vision he had about four years ago, when during a Beltane rite the Horned God told him that he should wait for a sign that revealed his destiny; until that day, he should just concentrate on having a good time, and not get into anymore trouble.

As such, Mitch just kept his nose clean and followed it to New York. Now he just drifts from temp job to temp job, quite happy with his lot and content to just be. He’s been living with Kara (..soon to be introduced!)since they met working the night shift at a 24 hour restaurant in Yonkers, and they hit it off.
